Welcome Bob and Madeline Oberting to our  group. They attended our Seminar last fall and have been working their trees at home.

Thought we should say hi to them and maybe someone else is tracking their lines: Oberting, White, Volman, Bertsch, & Eszeliner. They grew up in Ohio.

He is Navy Retired.  They live in Imperial Beach.

June 11, 2016 will start at 1 pm.  We are going to be covering more information on various libraries within our driving range and what they hold.

The  first talk was at Lemon Grove  Library and the attendees were amazed at what they learned.

We have over 55 libraries in our area. Some specific topics some general, we also have county and city libraries at our region.

I filed a mini report on what came from our trip to Carlsbad Library, Saturday.  We did not make Burbank, husband was not well enough for me to go that far.

More to learn which may really surprise you.  See you there.

Sharing that though we did not get to Burbank we went to the Carlsbad Library and checked out the new digs for the Genealogical buddies.

We found it more open and lighter for seeing. Not all of the plugs (electrical) have come in yet for the laptops etc.  They are hoping in a couple more weeks they will arrive.

:>( the chairs are horrid to set in. We all came home with achy backs.

Some of the changes we thought were good some not so much.

Below is the information I gathered while there with more to come soon.

Planning another trip soon now that summer is around the corner.

Shirley filled in many blanks and Mary's find on What Cheer, Iowa was great.

My find is in the blog report.
