Presents: Tracing Your Ancestors—Lost Ancestors Again. WE are hoping by working together we will have more answers for our trees.
Surname Your most sought, lost not found of your choice. You may have several. Country or State, County, Town Time Frame, How long have you been looking? Are you working with others?
Example Husbands: Susi Pentico Example: 50 years Mary(sister in law) and I together hunted. She lived 12 about years after we learned of the changed name.
She lived Iowa, and CA later.
Pentico, later learned was Beninghoff. Penticoff. Penticuff. Now mostly Pentico. I almost bet Pentecost is also ours,.???? State Pa, 1780’s.. Came from Germany mid 1700’s I lost my back up drive for more data. Mary & I found them in Lycoming Co. PA. 1810. LaCumberland 1828 Sept 7, Then in Westover, PA 1854 Then Iowa, KS. were settled, You have to study the PA map for it’s development. FUN FUN. They are from Germany we learned. ?? We looked for Pentico and Penticoff in ship lists 50 years before distant relative in PA contacted us. Some of these names of then no longer exist.. Something for you all to remember. We were amazed to learn how the names changed & the counties changed,
