"Tea With Mrs Roosevelt"

With Annette Hubbel & Leorna Kickok

Tea with Mrs. Roosevelt, written by Sherrie Colbourn, stars Annette Hubbell as Eleanor Roosevelt, and Elaine Litton as her best friend, confidante, and famous-in-her-own right investigative reporter, Lorena Hickok.

Annette performed for CVGS in October 2014 as Miss Hattie Elizabeth Turner in Witness to Gettysburg. Annette Hubbell Productions* currently is in production of three shows. In addition to the two mentioned above, Heroes and Legends is true stories about historic figures who became famous because they followed God’s calling.

Annette changed careers in 2007 when she retired from the water business as a General Manager for a North San Diego County water district. Many years of public speaking helped prepare her for her current work in acting, researching historical figures, and writing. A San Diego native, Annette lives in Poway with her husband Monte.

Elaine Litton has been a psychotherapist in private practice in Encinitas for 30 years. Although this work continues to be interesting and rewarding, theatre is her passion and she has been pursuing a career in stage acting for the past eight years.

Elaine has performed at many theaters around San Diego, including the Coronado Playhouse, Ion Theater, New Village Arts, Palomar Performing Arts, OnStage Playhouse, Point Loma Actors, Pickwick Players, and PowPac, Poway’s Community Theater.

In 2014 Elaine and two of her colleagues formed The New Group West Production Company. Their first production, I Am My Own Wife, won three awards at the American Association of Community Theatre national competition in July 2015.

The presentation will starts promptly at 12:30 p.m.

Following the presentation there will be a short business meeting, a raffle, refreshments and fellowship.
